Burning a music CD using Roxio

There are a few things to keep in mind when creating a music CD. It is best to use a CD-R when creating music CD because virtually all CD-ROM and CD-Recorder drives can read a CD-R. With the Easy CD Creator, you can make a music CD that will hold up to 80 minutes of music and up to 99 tracks.

Step 1: Open Roxio
Go to Start > All Programs > Roxio Easy CD Creator > Home

Step 2: Click on Audio & Select the type of CD
Different versions of roxio change over time so this step may vary according to version... If you are using the newer version, your window will now look like the example, click the link in the circle. If you have an older version, you may have to select the button for make audio cd. Then click music cd project.

Step 3: Add music
Again only newer versions will look like the example... Click on 'add music' (in the circle here) or for older versions, the arrow with 'add' under it (around the middle of the screen). A box will appear, use this box to find the music you want to put on the CD. You can use this box as many times as you need to...

When you select a file it will be added to the list(s) on the screen.

Step 3: Check and Burn
At this point make sure you have a blank disc inserted. On the preview above the burn button will be the orange looking button on the bottom right of the window... on older versions, the red button in the middle with 'record' under it. When you click a dialog box may appear... just click 'yes' or 'ok'.

Step 4: Continue & Wait
Newer versions will start the burning process now. On older versions you may need to push 'start burning'. Click ok when finished... the drive should eject when finished.

Step 5: Enjoy!
Try out your new CD in your car, home stereo, or dvd player, ect...
